Asia's best beaches, the Cellular Jail and turquoise ferry crossings between the islands.
The Andamans are India’s tropical edge — a thousand-island archipelago in the Bay of Bengal where the water turns the kind of blue you usually only see in photographs. This four-night trip threads the two islands that introduce them best: Port Blair, the capital, where you’ll walk the corridors of the Cellular Jail and watch its sound-and-light show retell India’s freedom struggle; and Havelock, two hours east by ferry, ringed by what Time Magazine once called Asia’s best beach.
You’ll spend two nights on each island, with all ferry crossings on premium-class boats — Makruzz, Nautika, ITT Majestic or Green Ocean. On Havelock, Radhanagar’s white sand and sunset are the showpiece, Kalapathar’s black rocks and shallow lagoons make the postcard, and Elephanta Beach offers easy snorkelling among live coral. Back at Port Blair, the closing day winds through the Anthropological Museum, the Fisheries Aquarium, the bird-rich Chidiya Tapu beach for sunset and the bustling Aberdeen Bazaar.
Deluxe hotels throughout, breakfast and dinner included, all ferry tickets and entry charges covered, and private vehicles on each island. It’s an easy, water-led trip — ideal for couples, families and small groups.
